Well, i was sitting in class today, and for some reason i started writing. I think its a poem...cant be sure but just comment on what you think about it.
This is what i wrote.
Blind
Darkness slowly creeps into the night,
As clouds shroud the light of the stars,
I look behind, i see darkness,
I listen and i hear silence,
That's when i came to realize,
How alone i am in the dark
I start to walk just a little bit faster,
But the darkness still follows,
I run a little bit faster,
But the darkness still shrouds me,
I start to scream,
I scream for the light,
Light my way, light my way, I say,
But darkness still shrouds me, like the black of the night
I awake, ah it was just a dream,
My eyes still closed i see nothing,
I open my eyes slowly but the dreaded dark still grips me,
Thats when i realize i never could see.

I will tell you what the poem is about in the next post. Just tell me what you guys think first.
Cheers!

Glad that you haven't post your own poem's reply, so allow me, The Traveler to crack this Da Vinci Code.
This poem states how a blind people see the world. As you close your eyes deep within, all you can see is darkness, no matter how much you shout for the light, you'll still be gripped by the darkness.
This poem is interesting as the way you try to describe how blinds see the world, but for me personally, blind people see the world as "lighten" or maybe "unique" in their sense. Although they can't "see", but why "see" when you can "feel" how's the world is? I remember when I meditate (haha, I'm mad on meditating stuff nowadays, hope you won't be pestered by this) I see the world through feel, simply I only see a fading sphere and nothing else is in my sight. But most importantly, I can feel that I am lighten, like the burden on my shoulder has been lifted off for a moment, that's where I learned that seeing the world won't answer all our question, but feeling how the world is going is big matter to me.
Anyhow, good poem, I would like to see your personal answer for it :)

Hey Sam, Thanks for being my first comment.
I like your answer, it is actually quite accurate in the sense that Blind people see through their other senses.
This poem is actually about a Blind Person's nightmare. Many people say that the blind don't dream, but i think they do in their own way. People say how can they imagine what they cannot see, but when they feel or touch something they are able to tell shape and they are able to roughly construct in their minds. It might not be the same but it is still an image. In the poem the "darkness" is coming after him, what he could see in his mind suddenly blacks away, it is like the darkness that plagues him/her in reality is engulfing his imagination as well... The last stanza of the poem says that he woke up from a dream but his eyes are still closed, then as reality slowly creeps in he realizes that he is already blind and is relieved that what he dreamt was just a nightmare.
A blind persons nightmare... is to be blind even inside your mind!
You get what i mean?
let me know yea Sam what you think? or anyone else for that matter
